Be Encouraged! Wisdom to Handle Finances

Do you need financial help?

When facing problems, it’s tempting to seek the help of family, friends, or programs, but we should first seek God’s wisdom. It unlocks all the doors. God’s Word says that if we trust Him and ask for it,  He’ll give us wisdom liberally and without reproach, but can God’s wisdom help us with our finances? Absolutely! He promises that if we ask anything according to His will, it will be given to us. Now that’s not the prosperity gospel but it does include wisdom which is fundamental to making sound financial decisions.

Job said: “To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his.” (Job 12:13) The Psalms repeatedly say: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” Psalm 2 says it this way: “…if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” (Proverbs 2:1-6) Paul wrote in Romans 11: “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!” (Romans 11:33) Be encouraged! God will grant you the wisdom you need for your financial challenges.
