Chuck BentleyWe’ve been talking a lot about the difference between man’s economy and God’s economy.  Man’s economy is fixated on money and these days, it’s filled with fear.

But God’s economy is fixed on Him, and it’s filled with peace and contentment.  The only way to move from man’s economy to God’s economy is to change what you believe about money.

You must decide who will be Lord of your life. The answers to these questions will shed light on which economy you’re actually living in. Ask yourself this:

  • What is my purpose in life?  Man’s economy falsely equates money with happiness. God’s economy says we’re stewards. God promises to provide for our needs so we can fulfill His purposes.

  • What makes me successful?  Man’s economy ties success to personal achievement, but God’s economy defines success as faithfulness, a wholehearted commitment to the Lord.

  • And finally, ask yourself, what’s really important?  In man’s economy, significance comes from our work, from riches, and from power. But in God’s economy, our significance comes from knowing God and true satisfaction is derived from a right relationship with the Lord.

So, are you really at peace?  Emotional peace should not be dependent on how much money you have, because in God’s economy, peace comes from learning to be content regardless of how much money you have.

So which economy are you really living in?  I hope by answering these questions honestly, you can identify where you are and quickly move into God’s economy.

The Plans of Tomorrow

Life is fragile. Consider where you are investing your time and energies.

Teaching God's People God's Principles

God calls each of us to fill the gap in order to spread His Gospel to all parts of the world.

Finances and Your Relationship with God

This generation’s greatest need is for God’s Word to be taught clearly and undiluted. The next greatest is for Christians to demonstrate that it works.

God and Money

Once we understand how God uses money and why He chooses to use it in a particular way, we can better understand His directives regarding finances.
