Last time I told you that the workplace will change dramatically in the coming decades and that we’ll have to adapt to new technologies and changing work conditions. Well, today I’ve got a few more employment trends you can expect to see in the years ahead:
Companies won’t be loyal to employees; their decisions will be based on the productivity and quality of your work. If you don’t make the company more profitable, you’re likely to lose your job. Career expert Brian Ray is fond of saying there’s no such thing as job security, but there is “employment security” and you get it by becoming more productive on the job you have. Consider attending trade seminars, taking courses to expand your skill set, and stay on the lookout for ways to become more efficient. These tips are drawn from Crown’s MoneyLife™ Basics book, Work and Business. And for help finding your god-given career skills, I hope you’ll visit us online at Crown.org. . |

Job LossDealing with lay off is not pleasant, but look at the lay off as an opportunity that can be conquered. |

Making Career DecisionsMost Americans need to unlearn the errors and then learn the truth regarding career decisions. |
Work as Unto the LordBeing God’s emissary on the job is not difficult; it’s impossible. Only by yielding our rights to Him can the world get a glimpse of Him through us. |
