Cyndi Ball: Urban Homesteading
Cyndi's Website is TheLazyBFarm.com, although I can assure you she's anything but lazy! Homesteading for them is about self sufficiency, becoming more independent from the grocery store and typical ways of getting food. The Lazy B Farm is 7 acres in northeast Georgia with cows, horses, chickens, sheep, dairy goats, meat goat, dogs, cats, bees, and pigs. There is also a vegetable garden, herbs, flowers, and an orchard, and Cyndi and Dave use all of it. Cyndi says their urban homesteading operation has a positive impact on their finances. They produce their own beef and sell some to cover their costs. The beef ends up being free. Despite its name, the Lazy B Farm is a lot of work. Cyndi and Dave learned how to do everything themselves, since neither was raised on a farm. You can learn too! |

Effectual GivingIt is not the amount of money given that concerns God, because He owns it all; it’s how the money is being used that’s important. |
Responding to God's MandateSometimes generous givers are tempted to think that all they have to give is money. |

Bottom Line DiscipleshipYou can’t serve the Savior and all that stuff on an equal footing. One has to take precedence. |
Setting Dreams in MotionWhen it becomes clear that God is redirecting our efforts, what can we do so our natural determination does not become a liability? |
