No Limbs, No Limits with Nick Vujicic

My guest today is Australian Nick Vujicic of LifeWithoutLimbs.org. Nick was born without arms or legs, but has an incredible ministry.

A friend emailed me a couple of months ago with pictures and a link to his story on You Tube.

Nick’s story gives you incredible perspective on the mundane problems we all face. I wanted to meet Nick and found out he was coming through Gainesville, Georgia, the location of Crown’s home offiice.

Nick's parents are believers and from the day he was born, they trusted the Lord to help them care for their son. His early years were spent in a loving home, surrounded by family. Nick was active in church and went to school but had a hard time being accepted.

Nick wanted to know why God had made him this way and felt no one understood him. At one point, he felt God had abandoned him. At age eight he considered suicide.

Nick overcame his physical limitations to learn how to write, type, and swim. At age 13, he read a story about someone else who had a disability. It convicted him to never give up and to be thankful for his abilities.

Nick gave his life to Christ. He went into high school with a new attitude. He shares from John 9 about a blind man and Jesus’ answer to why the man was blind, so the works of God could be revealed through him.

After Nick was saved, he began to see himself as God sees him, as a new creation. He's not perfect, but a man with the spirit of God.

Earlier in his life, Nick had been struggling with fear more than not having limbs. He had a fear of not knowing who he was, why he was here, and where he was going kept him bound.

Nick says victory is when you’re with Christ Jesus, who conquered sin and death. God’s more interested in changing your heart than the outside you.

After accepting God's will for his life, Nick began a ministry. His ministry has taken him to 19 countries to speak about what God has done in his life. Life Without Limbs is a non-profit organization based in California where God is using a man without arms and legs to be His hands and feet.

Nick's been invited to speak in Egypt, Indonesia, India. He talks about the victory that can be found in Christ and the plan that God has for each of us.

Many people are afraid right now because of the economy. The lesson from Nick’s life is that difficulty can bring out perseverance in your life.

Despite all the obstacles he has, Nick hasn’t quit. In adverse circumstances, God doesn’t want you to quit but endure. God can take away all fear and when you have no fear, you have hope.

Hope helps you face the next problem that comes and go through the cycle again.
