Establishing A Spending Plan
Meeting
with a Money Map Coach
Our Money Map Coaches are volunteers who
have successfully completed the Money Map Coach Training Course
offered by Crown Financial Ministries. These volunteers will
assist you in developing a spending plan based on sound Biblical
financial principles.
To receive the name of a Money Map Coach in your area, send an email to mmcoaching@crown.org. Include your complete name and address including zip code. Once you receive the name of a Coach near you, you must call the Coach to set up an appointment.
What to expect in a Money Map Coaching
session
- Coaching Process
- If you are married, both husband and wife should plan
on attending together; otherwise very little can be accomplished.
- The Money Map Coach will discuss Biblical stewardship
and will explain what God expects from His children. Our
Money Map Coachs are serving under the authority of their
local churches.
- The Money Map Coach will assist you in evaluating your
present spending pattern and help you work toward a balanced
spending plan.
- Once the spending plan is established, the Money Map Coach
will act as an accountability partner with you and will
inform you of other studies that will enhance your understanding
of Biblical stewardship.
- Information Needed
- You may be asked to bring your checkbook register,
income tax forms, paycheck stubs, bank statements, current
bills, or other related information.
- Your Coach will indicate exactly what he or she
wants you to bring for the first meeting.
- Meeting Location
- You will most likely be asked to meet in a neutral
location where there are few distractions and where
there is sufficient table space to work on your budget.
Many times Coaches will use their local church.
- Session Length
- Your first session will run between one and a half
to two hours. Subsequent sessions should run a little
over an
hour.
Please note: Crown
Financial Ministries considers it an honor to serve the people
of God. The Money Map Coaching service is a lay ministry
of the volunteer Money Map Coach, the local church, and Crown.
There is no fee for this service. You may be given the option
of purchasing material that will enhance your study of Godly
stewardship, but you are under no obligation to purchase any
item or study.
Our counselors are volunteers who have completed our Money Map Coach
training and desire to assist God’s people in setting
up a budget and learning in how to honor the Lord with their
finances.
Topics like investing, insurance, financial planning, and other
related areas are not covered, other than to include these
categories
in a written spending plan if needed.
If you are specifically looking for this type of help, we suggest
that you contact a professional near you. If you decide to
contact CCCs of Atlanta and begin a debt management plan, please
be aware that there is a nominal fee for the ongoing administration
of the plan. However, there is no fee for the initial consultation.
