TROUBLESHOOTING

  1. I’ve installed the Money in Marriage on the system; now I am receiving error message #372. Can this be fixed?

I clicked on the Money in Marriage icon on my desktop, but I keep getting a message to insert the CD.

The Money in Marriage program needs the CD to operate correctly. Make sure the Money in Marriage CD is inserted in the CD-ROM drive. If it is not, insert the CD into the drive and click OK.

If the CD is already located in the CD-ROM drive, click the Browse button and locate the specific drive where the CD is located. This should only have to be done the first time the CD in inserted into the drive. When you click on the Money in Marriage icon on the desktop, the program should be launched.

Can more than one couple take the assessments in Money in Marriage?

Yes. More than one couple can take the survey. However, only the current assessment will be saved. Any subsequent assessments taken with the program will override any previous assessment.

What are the system requirements for Money in Marriage?

  • Windows 95/98/NT
  • Double-speed (2x) CD-ROM or faster
  • Sound card required for audio portion
  • Pentium class processor 166 mhz or faster
  • 16 MB RAM (32 MB RAM recommended)
  • 30 MB free hard disk space
  • SVGA video adapter (VGA minimum) with 256 colors (or higher)
  • Microsoft mouse-compatible pointing device
  • Windows-supported printer for report generation

The percentage guidelines indicate that the budget total equals more than 100 percent. How do I handle this?

If the budget totals more than 100 percent, then review the budget and be sure to balance the budget. More than likely, if the budget is more than 100 percent the School/Childcare category is included in the budget and the budget will need to be adjusted accordingly.

When I am taking the Personality I.D. in the Money in Marriage program, may I assign the same number twice for the same question?

No. One number needs to be assigned for each descriptive word. For instance, on each page of the assessment, a number one will be assigned to one word, number two will be assigned to one word, and so forth.

You will not be able to proceed with the assessment until each number is assigned to each descriptive word.

  1. Uninstall the Money in Marriage program from the system.
  2. Click on Start/Programs/Accessories/Windows Explorer.
  3. On the left side of the window, click on My Computer/Local Disk (C:)/Windows directory.
  4. Click on the System32 directory (on older computers, this may be the System directory).
  5. Under the System32 directory, delete the Macromed directory.
  6. Reinstall the Money in Marriage program.
  7. Reboot the computer system.
  8. Money in Marriage should launch correctly.

Note: When using other programs that require newer versions of Shockwave, you will be asked to install the newer version. Subsequent use of Money in Marriage will require you to repeat the above steps.
