Gifts of Stock
A gift of stock can be one of the best ways to give to Crown. Gifts of appreciated stock are particularly wise from a tax perspective, since there are no capital gains paid, and the giver receives a tax deduction of the full face amount.

For example, if you bought stock for $1,000 and now it is worth $5,000, you receive a tax deduction for the entire $5,000 without having a $4,000 capital gain. You would benefit in 2 ways, and Crown would benefit from the $5,000 contribution.

Gifts of stock can also be one of the easiest ways to give. With your permission, Crown can work directly with your broker or financial planner, and the process is very simple.

NOTE: Please let Mary Ellen know what type of stock you are donating and how many shares so that it can be tracked and you can be given a receipt.

Gifts in Kind
Crown has received numerous creative gifts such as surplus items, sale of grains, houses, land, apartments, vehicles, etc. When you give appreciated property, you are entitled to an income tax deduction for the full value of the asset, not just the amount you paid for it, and often you can deduct the market value of your item. Matching Funds
Many companies offer matching gifts to charitable organizations. If you are looking for creative ways to give to Crown Financial Ministries, check with your company to see if it offers this program. If this is an option for you, please fill out your company’s application and send it to:

Our Money Processing Department will fill in our portion of the application and return it to your company.

Crown (#57837) is included on the National Part of the 2009 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) Charity List and is also included in the listing of National/International Independent Organizations as well as each local campaign charity list.

Federal civilian, postal, and military employees will be able to designate Crown (#57837) as beneficiary of their charitable giving through payroll deductions.

Memorial or Honorarium Gifts
If you would like to give a gift in memory of or in honor of someone, please call 1-800-722-1976. You will need to provide the following information:

1. Your name and address as the one giving the gift.
   
2. The name of the recipient of the honorarium or memorial gift.
   
3. The name and address of the person or family to receive the notification of the honorarium or memorial gift.

A card will be sent to the person or family designated to notify them of the gift. You will receive a receipt acknowledging your generous gift.

Remembering Crown in Your Will
Remembering Crown in your will is a convenient way to leave a lasting legacy. After you have provided for your loved ones, you can set aside a percentage of your estate to be given to Crown. This can be done at the time you have your will made or it can be added by a codicil (amendment to your existing will).

Automobile Donations
You can donate an automobile to Crown Financial Ministries using the online automobile donation program. Click here to learn more about donating your automobile to Crown.

Non Cash Gifts
Gifts, other than cash, donated to Crown Financial Ministries are handled differently than if cash was sent. The Internal Revenue Service regulates how this type of gift is to be processed. Click here to learn more about this type of giving.
