A Message from CEO Chuck Bentley - September 2008

Dear Friend,

The financial pressures on American families continue to mount. The current economic chal-
lenges in the U.S. with the subprime crisis, escalating foreclosures, declining home values
and inflationary pressure on gasoline and groceries have placed greater strain on more fam-
ilies than at any time during our lifetime.

Crown is experiencing greater demands than at any time in our entire history.

Cries for God’s truth about money are pouring in right now from all corners of the world. We are constantly being asked for help, hope, and biblical wisdom.

Just this past week, I received an email from a man who was given my personal email address. He said that his financial pressures were causing him to consider taking his life ...could I help?

This is the time for us to rise up and carry God’s banner high. We know that following His ways is the only solution to the needs of the world.

My heart aches for the crushing circumstances of many who seek help. There are days when I hear the Lord whisper, “These are My sheep; point them back to their Shepherd.” I thank God that we do have a real and lasting solution for everyone we serve. Over and over, we see His kindness and faithfulness bestowed on those we are privileged to help.

God has expanded Crown Financial Ministries’ outreach to 49 nations of the world. And just two months ago, He allowed us to equip courageous Christian leaders in 16 Middle Eastern countries who sought us out for training!

We are passionate about our calling to see lives transformed. It is obvious to us that God wants to spread His plan and His truth about money to the ends of the earth.

A quote from our cofounder, Larry Burkett, remains true today for the operations of our ministry, “No matter how much we like to touch the lives of people, virtually nothing can be done without the funds....We don’t borrow money to operate.”

So, today, I ask that if you and your family can help, please ask the Lord what He would have you do to make a special gift during this month.We need your help now. If it were not so, I would not be asking.
