Solomon wrote in Proverbs 10:22, “It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it.” We live in a time when we see sorrow multiplying around us at an ever-increasing rate. Much of this is due to people aligning themselves with the present world system and thus violating many financial principles found in Scripture.

To address the need for Bible-based budget counseling, Crown Financial Ministries has developed resources to assist churches in training lay Money Map coaches. The two main resources are The Money Map Coach Training Course (an at-home, self-study course) and the Money Map Coach Training Workshop (a one-day workshop presented by a certified Crown instructor).

The objectives of the Money Map Coach Training Course encompass the following:

1. To offer a solid educational grounding in scriptural principles of finance, consumer laws, and techniques of budget and debt counseling.
   
2. To provide an avenue for laypeople to have an active stewardship counseling ministry in their churches and communities. They will learn to share proven life-changing principles with the growing number of Christians and non-Christians who are struggling in the area of financial bondage.
   
3. To provide the opportunity for those who complete this course to join Crown’s certified Volunteer Money Map Coach Network. The new syllabus contains valuable materials, including case studies, coaching procedures, tips, credit information, resource material covering over 100 various topics, a detailed glossary of financial terms, and review questions.

Included are the Money Map Coach Training Course Textbook, two copies of the Journey to Financial Freedom manual, a Money Map Coach Welcome CD, The Family Financial Workbook, and the Personality I.D. This course and related materials are contained in a handy storage box.

When your pastor verifies in writing that you have satisfactorily completed this course, you will be ready to do lay Money Map coaching for your church.

Supplemental Training to Become a Crown Referral Coach

Many people call Crown each week to inquire about obtaining Money Map Coaching in their community. In order to meet this need, Crown Financial Ministries maintains a list of volunteer Money Map Coaches around the country who are willing to receive referrals from Crown.

To become a certified Crown referral Money Map Coach, an additional step of training is required. People who have satisfactorily completed the Money Map Coach Training Course are eligible to attend a Money Map Coach Training Workshop. This one-day workshop is presented by certified Crown instructors at various locations around the country as demand warrants. When you have satisfactorily completed both the Money Map Coach Training Course and the Money Map Coach Training Workshop, you can send us the necessary paperwork, including your pastor’s agreement and signature, and become a certified Crown referral coach.
