JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Area Director

REPORTS TO: U.S. District Director, Global Field Division    

JOB SUMMARY :

  • Grow ministry in assigned area in alignment with the Crown’s  vision, mission, core values and the North American Field Strategic Plan
  • Model spiritual leadership
  • Cast vision for external and internal constituencies
  • Multiply through volunteer teams
  • Lead through change
  • Engage and serve ministry partners
  • Collaborate with District Leadership Team

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Grow ministry within area
    • Proactively demonstrate the Crown Core Values
    • Balance focus on results and relationships
    • Ensure long-term funding of the area
    • Allocate people and financial resources strategically
    • Evaluate priority growth areas balanced with where God is working and initiate ministry
    • Profile strategic churches using Road Mapping skills
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external audiences
  • Model spiritual leadership
    • Develop a prayer and spiritual growth strategy for the volunteer teams
    • Develop emerging volunteer leaders
  • Cast vision for external and internal constituencies
    • Represent ministry in public speaking venues and ministry meetings
    • Develop strategic relationships with cross-cultural, cross-denominational church leaders, church coordinators and community leaders within area
    • Strategically use Crowning Achievements and other vision events within area
  • Multiply through volunteer teams
    • Recruit volunteer team leaders and supervise the recruiting of team members
    • Assist team leaders align team members’ gifts, talents and skills with job description
    • Equip team through modeling, walking alongside and releasing
    • Sustain by building community, communicating, celebrating and training (church coordinators, church team workshops, etc.)
    • Properly delegate responsibilities to others
  • Lead through change
    • Develop 1 year and 2-5 year goals
    • Align change with Crown’s vision, mission, core values & strategic plan
  • Engage and serve ministry partners
    • Develop a plan
    • Lift vision partners to greater giving
    • Develop closer relationships with your Ministry Partners
