I attended the Crown seminar, Journey to True Financial Freedom, in September 2006. At that time, my husband and I were drowning in debt with no idea of how to get out. He had absolutely no interest in finacial matters and wouldn't even sit down with me to discuss our monthly budget. I handled everything and made sure our bills were paid, but I felt like I had no support.

One night, I found the radio program Money Matters, and as I listened, I realized that I wasn't alone, that millions of other people were facing the same problems.

Right then, I prayed for God to take control of our family and our finances, and for Him to open the eyes of my husband's heart to know and to serve Him. Over the past two years, my husband has gone from poking fun at me for listening to Money Matters to listening with me, and helping me find ways to save money while paying off our debts. He never seemed to care before if the bills got paid, but I thank God for changing his heart in that area.

We still have a pile of debt, but by the grace of God, it's getting smaller every month, and I'm convinced that our tithing and saving has enabled us to reduce our debt. God has blessed us through Crown, and we are thankful for all you do.

We are about to complete our Crown Financial study, and it has been wonderful. I was challenged by memorizing Scripture, and God was revealed each week through the Scripture readings and studies.

My husband and I look forward to better communication regarding our financial situation and our budget, and we want to share this with our sons so we can give them an early start to financial freedom. It is important for us to be examples and share with our children how God expects us to make, use, and treat His gift of money to us.

Crown Financial Ministries has been a tremendous help to us in our financial situation. We had an out of state move and went down to one salary. This class taught us to prioritize our debts and to follow the path of outgoing money. Also that it ALL belongs to God!

Twenty years ago when my late husband and I were first married, we determined that we would always tithe and always give whatever offerings we could. There were many times that things were extremely tight in our finances, but we never thought for a minute
of not returning the tithe to the Lord nor missing out on every opportunity to give offerings and to help others who had less than we have. We saw God prove over and over that He is faithful and that you cannot outgive Him.

For our 10th Anniversary we were saving money to buy an electric blanket with dual controls. On a Sunday evening less than a week away from our anniversary, an unscheduled missionary visited our church, and we felt led to give the money we'd saved rather than buy a luxury item we could do without. It was a real joy to freely give that extra money because God had taught us how to hold all that we steward for Him with an open hand.

A few days later, we were given an electric blanket that covered half of our bed. We already had an electric blanket that covered the other half the bed.

Essentially we experienced the extreme joy of giving to the Lord's work elsewhere in the world and still ended up with what we thought we needed. One of the greatest joys of knowing the Lord has been experiencing His joy in giving rather than in getting - it gave us a small sense of how much joy He gets from all that He gives.

The Crown Financial course is an excellent ten-week course that has helped me tremendously. Before this class, I was not managing my finances in a Biblical sense. I worked hard, thinking I was doing the "right thing." What I learned was that I was putting my work before the Lord and my relationship with Him suffered.

Today, I realize I had my priorities wrong, even though I was working to be a good provider. Now, I put my relationship with the Lord first, and I tell you it's amazing at the difference in my life. My instructor is a excellent teacher and I recommend [this class] to anyone wanting to make a change in their lives as it relates to financial management according to Scripture.

I have always enjoyed teaching but never pursued it as a career - maybe this course is that opportunity to do that in the future!!

I have listened on and off depending on my available time to your program since Larry's time.

You guys gave me the desire to become debt free. At that time I was renting. Now I own my own home and am debt free except for my mortgage. I have started saving to have an emergecy fund. Presently, I am aiming to have at least six months of my present take home pay in savings.

Your program provided that compass for me; it made me see that it could be done. I have not contacted your program before but have found that, even though I have not gotten to listen for a while, the principles I heard are so basic and solid with me. I would love to host a life group to share these basic steps with others.

Your program has helped me and now I believe I can tell others. With your continued guidance I will be able to.

May the Lord continue to bless your program.

This [the Biblical Financial Study] is a must for every Christian! The Crown Financial Ministries course has changed my life! I have drawn closer to the Lord through my daily Scripture readings, financial activities, mediation, and prayer. I feel the Lord's strength with me every day and I feel His joy with me in the morning when I roll out of bed.

The course is more than a financial study; it is a lifestyle change. I started feeling the changes in my thinking in the beginning and then my heart change became evident through my daily actions. I do not consider the homework in the workbooks burdensome, but enlightening and rewarding. I am now moving in the direction the Lord wants me to move.

WOW! I am impressed with the new format and focus - Make, Manage and Fulfill! I received a call today from Elizabeth and she shared many of the updates with me. I could not wait to get home to visit the site and listen to today's broadcast.

The new radio format is incredible. Scott Lewis's message [from MoneyLife 4/15/08 and 4/16/08] touched me deep. I grew up with a few of the same challenges and trials, but none so severe. I found Crown about 10 years ago when we had graduated from college.

We've gone from in debt $50k to a net worth of nearly $1 million. We have been blessed beyond all measure. We are now giving more, and in more ways, than ever. My passion is to help others Make, Manage and Fulfill. I love the complete message.

I just wanted to say that I was truly blessed today by the MoneyLife radio program where the gentleman had the testimony of how God provided for his children's tuition.

I was in this position when it was time for me to go to college almost 15 years ago. My parents did not have any money to send me to school, and I had no clue how I would attend. However, I had faith in God that if He had it for me, He and only He would provide.

I received notice about 3 weeks before my high school graduation that I would receive a full academic scholarship; room, board, books, and tuition were fully paid for all four years.

God reminded me of His faithfulness then through the radio testimony, and how in my current situation of losing almost all savings on a home that has been on the market for over 6 months, that He and He alone will provide. He reminded me of the time of how He came in the "midnight hour" to supply my needs. And He will come through for me on this situation in HIS time, not mine.

I thank Jesus for His love and for never deserting me! I am completely broken and reliant only upon Christ to supply my needs according to His riches and glory!

This experience [Crown Financial Study] has opened my heart to what God truly has planned for my life concerning my finances. I have gone without a budget for so long as an individual and as a single mom of eight years now. I have prayed for God to pour out His wisdom concerning how to budget, and I expected Him to "download" it into my head.

Thankfully He encouraged me to join my Crown life group. Even how I was chosen into the group out of many who signed up beforehand is a testimony. I have not been faithful with the little things and have been quite compulsive in spending. I have a heart to give but had no vision beyond that nor any goals.

Now I do, and I praise God for using Crown to help me. I have a plan and vision and a desire to help my children learn early on God's principles for handling money. Thank you and God Bless your hearts!
