Crown Financial Ministries’ Global Leaders Say God’s Financial Principles Are Solution for Worldwide Economic Crisis

GAINESVILLE, GA – March 12, 2009 – Leaders for Crown Financial Ministries from five continents proclaimed God’s financial principles as the solution to the current worldwide economic crisis at a recent Crown global operations meeting.

Participants agreed the first and most important step is for individuals and nations to turn to God and ask Him for help. They recognized money will not solve what is really a heart problem. Repentance is needed as described in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14.

Crown’s global leaders also called for people to learn and live by God’s financial principles to solve the current worldwide economic crisis and promote long-term financial health. These principles begin with recognizing God’s ownership and people’s role as stewards but also include avoiding debt, seeking counsel, practicing honesty, giving generously, working hard, saving consistently, spending wisely, and living for eternity.

God will bless individuals and nations that practice these principles out of love for Him. One of the best blessings is freedom from fear about the future.

Crown’s global leaders updated one another on how God is using this ministry to teach His financial principles. Here are some of the highlights:  

• People in South Africa are using Crown career resources to find meaningful jobs.
• In Taiwan, Crown business resources are being broadcast on television for the first time and people are learning how to operate businesses ethically.
• And, Crown resources are being translated into languages for people in the Middle East, Ethiopia, Uganda, Namibia, and the Netherlands.

Leaders got a preview of the short film series, God Provides, which Crown soon will be releasing worldwide. The films are designed to teach God’s financial principles to people in any culture who are oral learners.

“Most of us felt maybe for the first time that this is not just about getting Crown and (biblical stewardship) teaching into our countries, but is being part of a larger move of the Spirit of God, by which He is going to change the Church,” one leader said.

Crown currently ministers in over 80 nations on five continents. God is using it to teach millions of people how to make money, manage it wisely, and use it to fulfill God’s purposes.
